Late Summer → Pre-Fall Styling

These are one of those trousers that can really do everything, which I’d lean into when merchandising them.

For late summer, I’d keep them relaxed rather than overly corporate: a fitted white tank or bodysuit, black leather belt and minimal sandals gives you that easy city in August look. They’d also be beautiful with a silk camisole and kitten heel for dinner.

For early September, I love these with a fitted tee or tank underneath an oversized button-down worn open, paired with ballet flats or loafers. A sneaker like a Samba, also immediately makes the tailoring feel more casual.

Then for pre-fall, bring in a fine-gauge knit, fitted cardigan or lightweight turtleneck with a loafer. An oversized blazer works too, but I’d keep the underneath layer quite fitted to balance all that beautiful volume through the trouser.

And because they’re black, this is a great place to introduce fall colour without making the outfit feel too autumnal too soon: butter yellow, burgundy, chocolate, camel, grey, cream or even a pop of pink.
