Styling

For late summer, I’d lean into the contrast between the utility skirt and something very simple and feminine — a fitted white or cream tank, little ribbed tee or bodysuit with flat sandals, ballet flats or a sleek sneaker. A black tank would also make a really chic head-to-toe monochromatic look.

Going into pre-fall, pair it with a fitted knit or cardigan, loafers and a structured shoulder bag. I could also see this looking really good with a crisp oversized white button-down tucked loosely at the front, or a slim tee under an oversized blazer.

Once temperatures cool further, add a cropped leather jacket, trench or oversized wool blazer and swap the flats for a sleek ankle boot.

It has that great sporty-meets-polished quality that makes it much easier to style than a traditional cargo skirt — definitely a strong transitional piece for the shop right now.
